- Drive primary and secondary sales in the assigned area to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.
- Ensure product availability and visibility across all retail and wholesale channels.
- Plan and execute area-specific strategies to optimize sales coverage and penetration.
- Identify high-potential markets and develop action plans for underperforming territories.
- Appoint, train, and manage distributors and stockists to ensure smooth flow of goods and payments.
- Monitor distributor performance, stock levels, claims, and credit limits regularly.
- Recruit, train, and manage a team of Sales Officers or Sales Representatives.
- Set daily/weekly targets, provide on-the-job coaching, and conduct regular performance reviews.
- Build strong relationships with key retailers, wholesalers, and institutional buyers.
- Organize trade engagement programs, retailer meets, and promotional activities to build brand loyalty.
- Ensure effective beat planning and regular market visits to monitor execution and gather market feedback.
- Track market trends, competitor activity, and consumer behavior to suggest actionable insights.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on sales performance, market conditions, competitor activities, and team productivity.
- Use data analytics tools or sales dashboards to track KPIs and optimize sales strategies.
- Coordinate with the supply chain and warehouse teams to ensure timely product availability and inventory management.
- Avoid stock-outs and overstocking by maintaining a balance based on demand forecasting.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, trade schemes, and pricing structures.
- Handle customer grievances and resolve conflicts in line with company guidelines.
