- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, motors, control panels, lighting, and conveyors used in food processing and packaging operations
- Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions in PLCs, VFDs, sensors, contactors, and motors, using test equipment like multimeters and megohmmeters
- Perform both preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure smooth production
- Maintain sanitary standards by following plant sanitation protocols in all electrical work areas
- Participate in safety audits, root cause analyses, and incident investigations to ensure equipment reliability and personnel safety .
- Install new machinery, equipment, and electrical control systems according to manufacturer specifications and safety procedures
- Assist with implementing equipment upgrades and continuous improvement projects to boost efficiency and reduce energy consumption
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, CMMS records, purchase orders, and parts/inventory records .
- Proficient in the use of standard electrician tools (wire strippers, conduit benders, insulated screwdrivers, multimeters, meggers, etc.)
- Ability to work safely in industrial conditionshot/dusty, noisy environments, sometimes in confined spaces or at heights.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or apprenticeship preferred
- Typically 37 years of experience as an industrial/plant electrician, ideally in food processing or manufacturing
