- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key vendors and suppliers within the construction industry.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all vendor inquiries, ensuring smooth communication and resolution of issues.
- Identify and evaluate potential new vendors based on their product offerings, pricing, and reliability.
- Collaborate with procurement and project teams to assess vendor capabilities, performance, and alignment with company needs.
- Manage the sales cycle for vendor-supplied products, from inquiry to order completion.
- Ensure accurate and timely order processing, tracking, and delivery of materials and services to construction sites.
- Stay informed about industry trends, new products, and innovations in the construction market that can benefit the company.
- Provide expert advice to project managers and procurement teams on the best vendor products for specific construction needs.
- Meet or exceed sales targets set by the company for vendor relationships and product sales.
- Regularly report on sales performance, including sales revenue, profit margins, and opportunities for improvement.
- Negotiate and finalize vendor contracts, ensuring that the terms are favorable and aligned with company goals and budgets.
- Coordinate with the supply chain and logistics teams to ensure that materials and products from vendors are delivered on time and in the correct quantities.
- Monitor vendor-related costs and work to ensure that all purchases are within budget and aligned with project financial goals.
- Address and resolve any conflicts or issues with vendors in a professional and timely manner, ensuring minimal disruption to construction projects.
